A little bit about me

As a Death Doula,I am dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families with compassion, clarity, and practical support during life's most difficult transitions.

Combining personal experience, professional training, and a heart for service, I provide compassionate guidance to individuals and families navigating aging, serious illness, end-of-life planning, and the journey that follows.

GUIDING MY PATH

At Sojourn with Susan, every interaction is rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect. I believe that every person's journey is unique and deserves to be honored without judgment.

My role is not to direct your path, but to walk beside you: offering support, guidance, and a steady presence as you navigate the road ahead.

My Core Values
What I Do

I provide compassionate, non-medical support for individuals and families navigating serious illness, caregiving responsibilities, and end-of-life transitions. Through emotional companionship, practical guidance, advocacy, and thoughtful planning, I help clients feel supported, informed, and less alone during an often overwhelming season of life.

Why I'm Qualified

My work is grounded in both formal training and lived experience. In 2026, I completed my Death Doula training, equipping me with the knowledge and tools to support individuals and families through end-of-life journeys. Equally important, my personal experience serving as both caregiver and Power of Attorney for a close friend gave me firsthand insight into the emotional, practical, and logistical challenges families often face. Having navigated difficult decisions, healthcare systems, financial responsibilities, and end-of-life planning myself, I understand the importance of having a compassionate guide by your side.
